TEAM FEES & REGISTRATIONS

TeamUnify - www.epscswim.com

TeamUnify is our team website/database that we use to keep track of all our swimmers, their times, sign up for meets, and communicate. After you have paid your practice fee to Shepherd, you will need to register your swimmer information and pay your team fee through our EPSC TeamUnify website.

Team Fees will be paid via a credit card on file. You will have options to pay in one lump sum or to have it broken into 4 installments over the course of the season. All accounts must have a credit card on file to pay Team Fee Installments, Meet Fees, and other dues that come up over the season. Please note that even if your swimmer discontinues participation in the team, they are still responsible for paying the whole team fee.

EPSC Team Fees:

$100 High School Prep

$250 Conditioning Track

$350 Competition Track

  • USA Swimming registration is mandatory for all swimmers wishing to participate in swim meets. Links to this registration will be sent out in September.

USA Swimming Membership Fees:

Premium Option: $87/year Includes all meets and championships, and subscription to USA Swim Magazine

Flex Option: $30/year For 12 and under only. Includes up to 2 meets, but no championships. May upgrade to premium at any time

A reduced rate is available for those who qualify – email Coach Erica at [email protected] for more information

Hope Scholar Swimmers

Shepherd University is a Hope Scholarship Vendor, serving the Homeschool students who have been awarded the Hope Scholarship Funding. EPSC is in the vendor application process.

Shepherd Practice Fee: The Hope Scholarship website is still working on their upgrades. You can not currently see Shepherd University as a vendor yet - again, IT is working on it! We will reach out when it is available. You will then push the funds to Shepherd, email the aquatics director (Andria Moyer [email protected]) that you have done so and which practice group/time your swimmer needs to be in, and she will register you for the appropriate group. You will then get an email confirmation that you have registered for your practice slot. We hope that this can all happen before the first day of practice…

EPSC Team Fee: This is also not available in the system yet, but we will contact you when it is. There will be a registration slot on TeamUnify for you to register your Hope swimmer that will not charge your card upon check out. When the links are up and working, you can push the money through to EPSC. Please note that in the event that EPSC is denied as a vendor or this system does not work either on the EPSC end or on the student end, you will still be responsible to pay this fee.

OneLife Platinum Add-on Participants

OneLife Practices begin September 3. Please watch for an additional email from the team regarding instructions and updated information on these practices.

PRACTICE EXPECTATIONS

Practice Group and Lane Assignments

Athletes are placed in lanes as they arrive the first day of practice. Practice groups and lanes are organized by age, focus, ability to maintain technique under pressure, speed, and current endurance levels. Coaches may move swimmers around to find them the best place to thrive. Help your swimmers understand that wherever we move them, it is to maximize their practice and competition success.

High School Prep swimmers are mixed in with the rest of the team based on the above factors.

Stretch and Chat

Swimmers are expected to join the team for stretch and chat 15 minutes before the scheduled practice. Dynamic stretching warms their bodies up for their in-water workout. This time also allows coaches to check in with the swimmers and explain the drills and plans for the day. It's also a great time for swimmers to socialize with their teammates.

After practice, coaches are available to chat with swimmers and parents. Please make use of this time and encourage your swimmers to ask their coaches questions and bring up any concerns or ideas they may have.

Balancing swim, school, health, family, and friends

Swimmers- If you are choosing to participate on a swim team, you are choosing to live the life of an athlete with commitments to training, nutrition, good grades, and accurate sleep. Many of you have other sports, music, and other interests in addition to swim. We think all of these are good things- but you will need to make decisions on where to spend your time and how to organize your days and weeks.

Parents and caregivers- Please help your swimmers choose to get enough sleep, eat big healthy meals plus snacks, finish schoolwork at appropriate times so they do not miss practice or stay up late, and spend time with their families and good friends.

If you and your swimmer are finding it hard to balance all of these things, please reach out to your coaches so we can help make some plans.
